Description

Premium Pima cotton quality

Our A-231 jersey polo shirt is made with long fibers in Pima cotton, which is one of the finest types of cotton in the world. In contrast to ordinary cotton, the Pima cotton is a finer type of cotton that is twice as strong, which gives the shirt an extra long life.

The jersey polo shirt is woven in a special Interlock weave that provides comfort and stretch and is treated with a patented treatment that means the fabric does not fray over time.

Where is the textile produced?

Tintex is a market-leading textile manufacturer, located north of Porto in Portugal, which has a special focus on sustainable production.

At Tintex, they ensure that the textile for our polo shirts is produced according to strict environmental standards and certifications, including BCI (The Better Cotton Initiative), REACH and Oeko-TexStandard 100.

BCI (The Better Cotton Initiative)

The BCI-program works towards establishing global principles and criteria for cotton growers and retailers. The BCI certification standard focuses on pesticide reduction and water consumption.

Oeko-TexStandard 100

The International Oeko-Tex Association is an independent certification system for textiles, which is the world's leading health label. The certification sets requirements for the content of chemical substances that are harmful to the consumer's health.

Reach

The REACH-Regulation was introduced by the EU in 2007. The purpose is to improve the protection of people and the environment against the risks posed by chemicals. REACH is responsible for the registration, evaluation, approval and restriction of chemicals.

Responsible Production

The Polo Shirt Makers

All our polo shirts are produced in a small family-owned factory, located north of Porto in Portugal.

Globalization and sustainability have been part of the factory's strategy since it was founded in 2016, as they have focused on conscious development, where humans and the planet matter.

I In 2015 the factory was certified with GOTS, Step by Oeko Tex, Oeko Tex, ISO 9001 and in 2019 the factory won The Circular Economy Award (the award as the most sustainable factory in Portugal). In 2022, the factory GRS was certified.
