Pantherella
Pantherella first opened its blue door back in 1937 and began trading as Midlands Hosiery Mills, an established women's hosiery factory. Fast forward to 1945, when the name was changed and a legend was born: Pantherella Fine English Socks went into business.
Right from the start, Pantherella established itself as a manufacturer of fine English socks. All Pantherella socks are made by skilled sock makers, as Pantherella socks have been made for generations. There is a real dedication to delivering quality and within the industry there are generations of families who have also worked here.
Each pair of socks is handmade to ensure they meet our highest quality standards. Things such as the smooth, finely connected toe seams that add extra comfort. They reinforce the heels and toes for increased durability. These are skills that can take years to acquire. There is a lot of know-how in terms of using natural materials and natural fibers. They use the best quality materials in the world. As Pantherella has done for generations, and will continue to do so.
Pantherella has never shied away from setting a precedent; when others have turned to cheaper alternatives, Pantherella have stuck to their convictions and still today make all their fine English socks right behind the very same blue door at the family-owned factory in Leicester. Pantherella's philosophy of 'Provenance, Design & Quality' is still valid today.
