Tollegno 1900 was founded in 1900 in the coastal town of Cervo in northern Italy.
Tollegno 1900 maintains a constant balance between production efficiency and respect for the environment, creating the basis for a circular economy, that make sustainability, intelligent recycling and sensible recycling their strong points
With a focus on the environment, Tollegno 1900 has established over 17,000 square meters of solar panels as well as a water purification plant, which treats between 2,300 – 2,500 cubic meters of water every day, which is returned to the Cervo river in compliance with all standards and which allows 40% of the water to be reused.
Tollegno 1900 certificates show how much the production and processing of their yarns comply with all environmentally friendly rules.< /p>
Woolmark is a globally recognized certification applied to pure wool products that meet a number of strict quality standards set by The Woolmark Company.
Woolmark certification requires compliance with a number of strict requirements and standards ( i.a. within animal welfare, agricultural health, environmental health (soil and oceans)) determined by Australian Wool Innovation Limited (AWI).
Responsible Wool Standard
The Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) is a guarantee that the wool comes from animal husbandry that ensures animal welfare and is kept partly naturally.
The RWS label obliges sheep farmers to document that on the farms they protect the environment and nature, that they promote biodiversity and give their employees fair working conditions.
It is not just the sheep farms that are checked, but the entire supply chain. Both the spinning mills and the textile producers in the entire production chain are continuously checked and certified in connection with the RWS labelling.
The International Oeko-Tex Association is an independent certification system for textiles, which is the world's leading health label. The certification sets requirements for the content of chemical substances that are harmful to the consumer's health.
The REACH regulation was introduced by the EU in 2007. The aim is to improve the protection of people and the environment against the risks posed by chemicals. REACH stands for registration, evaluation, approval and restriction of chemicals.
